EverWind Fuels LLC has purchased the NuStar Storage terminal in Point Tupper, NS and plans to convert it into a hydrogen hub for the province. In addition to storage and transport, the site will also contain green hydrogen and ammonia production. (Green hydrogen refers to hydrogen that has been produced by renewable energy or low-carbon sources.) Production might begin as early as 2025. The site is located near rail and pipeline connections and is an ice-free, deep-water port.
