Founded in 1984, we are a member-focused non-partisan, non-lobbying, resource and technology neutral organization promoting excellence in Canadian energy leadership at home and abroad. We are the only national, cross-sectoral Canadian energy convener organization.
We foster strategic thinking, dialogue and action through events and activities conducted nationally and internationally. Through our publications and outreach initiatives, we help the Canadian energy industry speak for itself, with a collective voice. This supports our vision for an affordable, stable and environmentally-sound energy sector for the benefit of all Canadians.
The energy industry assembles to enhance Canada’s international energy reputation and assist in attracting investment, accessing new markets and winning projects abroad.
For over twenty years the Energy Council of Canada has recognized and celebrated excellence in Canadian energy leadership. The diversity of recipients reflects the diversity of the Canadian energy industry itself.
A publication where members choose a topic and tell their related stories. Members share and leverage progress in areas like innovation and indigenous engagement.
A growing collection of exceptional young professionals from across Canada and energy sectors. They gather to learn from each other and create the next generation of leadership.
We host energy conversations other organizations cannot. Our Chatham House Rules Roundtables provide a rare opportunity for cross-sectoral communication.
